The Rogue River is finally receiving some well needed high water, the picture below(you may recognize it) it is the Grave Creek boat ramp and bathroom or what is left of them. It’s been quite a few years since we have had good high water, the high water loosen the gravel and makes it better for the spawning fish, it will also be good to wash the sand and sediment left behind from both the dam removals. It is always fun to make the first trip of the year through the canyon to see the changes; new camp sites where sand is filled in and new fishing holes where gravel has moved. I guess it’s okay to miss a few days of fishing due to the high water when it will be good for our future fishing.
