Winter Steelhead season is quickly coming to an end for me. I have one more week scheduled to fish the Siletz before heading North to the Willamette for Spring chinook. With the predicted weather forecast it looks like my springer season will start a week early.
Some years I look forward to moving on to the next season others years it’s hard to leave, this year has been such a great winter steelhead year that I am not looking forward to it coming to an end. this past week was excellent fishing, my last two trips I fly fished with Clayton and Doug we hooked 6 beautiful winter steelhead on flies and the next day with Terry and Rick side drifting, we went 8 for 12 . It hard to say good-bye when fishing is this good.
