From Warm Springs to Maupin, The Deschutes River carves its way through magnificent canyon country. This is the wildest stretch of the Deschutes, and the most productive for anglers and fly fisherman alike. Huge “Redside” rainbow trout are the main attraction. The Deschutes Rainbow have been titled “Redside” for their stunning coloration. The trout have a lot of company, the river is shared with thousands of Steelhead, Spring Chinook Salmon, and white fish, all of these are vulnerable to a well fished fly.
Our trip begins at Trout Creek and ends in Maupin. This is a multi-day float. There are some great rapids along the way, the most famous is Whitehorse. This three day float is perfect for the person wanting to learn the sport of flyfishing. We guarantee to put you in front of fish every day, with guides helping you along the way. By the time the trip is over you should have the confidence to attack any river with your newly learned skills. Now if you’re a Pro, well you have over 3000 fish per river mile, you do not row the boat, set up camp, or cook. You have three days to fish and fish as hard as you like. Ok enough talking, lets Fish!
