The salmon was terrific!! I was one of the lucky wives who got to enjoy the benefits of her husbands hard day of play. Thank you RRO for putting the boat where the fish would bite, even when the fishermen were not looking!!! I wish I could have been there....next time.

I was the most fortunate girl to have my Dad as a Father. I have learned sooo much from Dad over the yrs as well. I always had great fishing and hunting trips, because my Dad "made the trip"! He is already missed by me. I will carry one his life journey though and enjoy every minute of it! I love you Dad!

Jeff was a one of a kind! I have learned a ton about life from him and his family. Most of all to LIVE!

I hope he spends his eternal time with a fish on and is in pursuit of a Ringneck with one of his dogs leading the way.

He will be missed.

CRAIG AND TINA
IT WAS GREAT TO SEE YOU YESTERDAY. WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE PAT WITH US ON THE RIVER FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES. IN HIS MEMORY I HOPE WE CAN KEEP THE REEL CIRCULATING AMONG THE GROUP. RAY THINKS HE SHOULD BE AN EARLY CHOICE - SUGGESTED HE BE 9TH TO GET IT. WOULD ONLY MAKE HIM 95 WHEN IT IS HIS TURN. WE ALL PLAN ON THIS KIND OF FUTURE. KEEP DOING YOUR PUSH UPS, YOU ARE GOING TO NEED YOUR STRENGTH TO KEEP US UPRIGHT.

Since this is coming from the female side of the fishing party please understand you won’t get the fish count as you would if my husband were writing.
Better than driving a convertible, which I don't have and now don't feel I need. There is no comparison to being in a drift boat under Craig's control with the fresh air all around you. If you need more power or want to go faster you wait as Craig and the rapids provide much more than a push of the pedal in a car. I mention the convertible because the subject was brought up by my husband when we were floating with Craig last week on the upper Rogue. He stated I wanted a convertible but never pleased with the ones I saw or drove. As stated above, there is now no need. Whether you are on the water in spring, summer or fall the blessings of fishing and floating with Craig is far superior.
This fishing trip was on the Rogue area above Graves Creek. We have been in the Wilderness several times but being able to fish a new part of the Rogue was the best! The wildlife was out for show as we saw deer, osprey, eagle, heron, beaver, deer, turtles and many other birds and sites to enjoy.
Craig did not disappoint as we fished for half pounders and adult steelhead. Our count was great both days and what challenges we had as we (me) being given lessons in using 4 different methods to fish and they ALL worked as we caught fish on each. We twitched with flies; side drifted with worms and then with bobbers and worms and used plugs. Craig rowed the river so well and must be several pounds lighter as we fished both sides of the calm and rough waters. Again, I thank Craig for his patience and his teaching is tops. Tina is a treasure and between the two of them the trips we have been on are enhanced by their spirits.
Thank you for more memories and we look forward to our next adventure.
