The crew and I showed up at Minim Oregon (launch site) preparing to fish the Grande Ronde River. Trout fishing was very good and the river was as beautiful as I remembered. This trip is an adventure we have been doing for over 20 years and with every trip I am amazed by the Grande Ronde’s almost secrete beauty.
Our Grande Ronde fishing trips are 50 mile floats that beginning at Minim, which is approximately 30 miles from LaGrande Oregon and ending in Troy Oregon approximately 8 miles from the Oregon and Washington border.
The Grand Ronde is a free flowing river cutting it’s way through a deep canyon where it eventually flows into the Snake River. The canyon is timbered in fir and Ponderosa Pines enter spurts with large grassy meadows and flat benches that become our camp site’s.
Because the Grand Ronde is free flowing there is only a small window of opportunity to float and experience great trout fishing contact us if you would like to see Oregon’s secrete treasure, the Grande Ronde River!
